Sudan coach Kwesi Appiah has shared his determination to secure a victory against Ghana in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Following a goalless draw in the first leg, Sudan is now set to face Ghana on neutral ground, hosting them in Libya on Tuesday, October 15, 2025.
While Sudan has been forced to play away from home, the team remains focused on maintaining their strong record in AFCON qualifiers.
The 1970 AFCON champions are undefeated in their “home” matches for the 2025 campaign and aim to continue this streak.
Coach Appiah admitted the strength of the Black Stars but expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness to fight for a win.
“It is not going to be easy, but Insha Allah, we are going to fight and make sure we get a victory for Sudan,” he said.
Ghana has a mixed record against Sudan, with three wins and three losses in their last six encounters away against Sudan.
Their last meeting resulted in a narrow 1-0 loss for Ghana, with Sudanese forward Mohamed Abdel Raman netting a late winner.
