Ghana’s Black Stars held their first training session at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of their crucial encounter against Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
It was almost a full house for the four-time AFCON champions with 22 players training on the pitch ahead of the game. The only players who were absent for the session were Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu, 3Sports understands.
The team touched down in Kumasi earlier on Tuesday and held the session in the evening. This was their second training following the first session which took place in Accra with just 10 players.
According to Akoma Sports reporter, Richard Acheampong, the training session on Tuesday focused on set pieces as Otto Addo looks to capitalise on dead ball situations.
The Black Stars were greeted by enthusiastic fans at the stadium who witnessed the stars train ahead of the pivotal game.

Angola are expected to hold their training on Wednesday afternoon before the Black Stars follow suit again in what could be their last session before they face their opponents on Thursday.
After securing back-to-back wins in June over Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Ghana are hoping to triumph over the Palancas Negras on Thursday before travelling to Morocco to face Niger in the next game.
They will be hoping to begin the qualification campaign on a good note to secure a place in the continental showpiece for the 25th time.
