Portuguese forward Pedro Neto has completed his transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Chelsea in a deal worth £54 million.
The 24-year-old has signed a seven-year contract with the Blues, extending his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2031.
Neto was introduced to Chelsea supporters during half-time of their friendly against Inter Milan on Sunday.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Neto said, “I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt.”
The transfer agreement includes an initial payment of £51.3 million, with an additional £2.6 million in potential add-ons.

Pedro Neto, who joined Wolves from Lazio in 2019, scored 14 goals in 135 appearances for the club. This move marks a record sale for Wolves, surpassing the £47 million received from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal for Ruben Neves in 2023.
Neto’s arrival brings Chelsea’s summer spending to approximately £185 million. The club has already added midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, and Omari Kellyman, along with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, defenders Tosin Adarabioyo, Aaron Anselmino, Caleb Wiley, winger Estevao Willian, and striker Marc Guiu.
The London-based club is also expected to finalise deals for Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion and Genk goalkeeper Mike Penders in the near future.
The Blues will now focus on their opening Premier League fixture against Manchester City next weekend
