Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has delivered a rousing message to the Black Starlets, encouraging them to remain focused and confident as they prepare to face Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets in the third-place match of the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
The crucial game is set to take place on Tuesday, May 28, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
In a meeting with the team, Okraku emphasised the importance of staying calm under pressure and playing to their strengths.
“Let’s be focused on our next opponents, Nigeria. They are beatable. Just don’t panic when things are difficult. Just be relaxed and keep playing to your strengths and the best of your abilities: You will get there,” he told the boys ahead of the game.

The Black Starlets are aiming to bounce back after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals.
Despite the setback, the team has shown remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament, including a dominant 5-1 victory over Ivory Coast and a solid 2-0 win against Benin in the group stages.
Ghana, initially favoured to win the tournament, now has the chance to claim third place and finish their campaign on a positive note.
The team has been preparing diligently, wrapping up their final training session on Monday under the guidance of their assistant coaches following the resignation of head coach Laryea Kingston.
