Godwin Ablordey, a former player for both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, is predicting a draw in the highly anticipated Super Clash between the two clubs on Sunday.
Both teams have been experiencing their own struggles and will face off at the Baba Yara Stadium on May 26, 2024.
Ablordey believes that neither side is in good enough form to gain the upper hand over the other.
Speaking exclusively to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the former Asante Kotoko captain shared his thoughts on the upcoming match.
“Even though the fierce rivalry that existed between these two big clubs have changed so much in recent times, it’s still somehow significant anytime the two sides meet. During my playing days most of the players of the two teams were were good enough to feature for the national team, this made the rivalry a lot more special.

“But the situation is different now. The team that shows character and resilience on that particular day will prevail.
“I wouldn’t be shocked if it ends in a draw because Prosper [Ogum] has never lost to Hearts in his coaching career with Kotoko and Ouattara is also not looking bad for Hearts.
Godwin Ablordey won the FA Cup with Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko as a player pleaded with fans to turn up in their numbers.
“I beg the fans to realise that without them, the two teams are nothing, so they should show up in their numbers to lift their spirits.”
