President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has handed over some vehicles to the Police Administration.
He also commissioned some Headquarters facelift projects on Tuesday, 21st February 2023, at the National Police Headquarters.

The cars include six hundred (600) motorbikes, one hundred (100) Toyota Hilux pickup vehicles, and six (6) Armored Personel Carriers known as Marauders.

Also, the facelift projects commissioned include the main Headquarters Gate, the CID Gate, ICT Gate and the main CID block at the Police Headquarters, Accra.

The President in a series of tweets after the exercise said “On Tuesday, 21st February 2023, I presented 100 pick-up vehicles, 600 motorbikes and 6 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicles to the Police Service, in addition to commissioning the National Police Headquarters facelift project.”

These Regional Formed Police Units (FPUs) will be spread across 140 bases in various communities.
“Without any doubt, their presence will enhance greatly security, law and order in the country,” he said.
Until recently, the FPU was only stationed in Accra. However, through support from government, the Unit was extended to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, and is now being formed in all the other regions.
