Member of Parliament for Yendi Farouk Aliu Mahama has renovated the Kuni Primary School in the Yendi municipality of the Northern Region.
The school has been in a very dilapidated state for several years, affecting teaching and learning in the school.
The old school structure could have been best described as a death trap for pupils, resulting in a decline in enrollment in the school.
But the timely intervention of the Yendi lawmaker has given the school an aesthetic look.
The renovated infrastructure will provide conducive learning for teachers and pupils in the Kuni community and its environs.
The Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama, seeks the welfare of his constituents and prioritizes education as a major tool for development and success in every community, hence has adhered to the call of the people of Kuni to ensure that the school building is a conducive and convenient place for teaching and learning.
The Yendi MP has indicated his commitment towards education in the Constituency, adding that he is focused and determined to continue to do more developmental projects as seen across the length and breadth of the constituency.
The people of the Kuni community expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to the Yendi MP for identifying and finding endless solutions to their challenges in the educational sector in the community.
It will be recalled that on Sunday, January 1 , 2023, Farouk Aliu Mahama held the maiden MP’s Teacher Award where deserving teachers were awarded.
Twenty teachers received awards in various categories of their work.
