Co-chair of the ad hoc committee probing the Minister of Finance, Kobina Tahir Hammond, is currently topping trends as Ghanaians question his inclusion on the committee.
The member of Parliament for Adnsi-Asokaw seems to have become unpopular with his comments as chair during the public hearing of the motion of censure against Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Taking to Twitter to express their displeasure, most Ghanaians believe KT Hammond is “deliberately watering the atmosphere with unsolicited comic-display”. Others have accused his inclusion as a means to drag the whole proceeds. While some have called his presence on the chair a “shield” for Ken Ofori-Atta.

So KT Hammond was on the committee to do what exactly? Anyway, see how Ken himself is just looking on as the drama unfolds. pic.twitter.com/4wgrv9N0yT

I just burst out laughing when I saw KT Hammond as the chair. This seating will drag with a lot of interference from him.

KT Hammond's main purpose at the Adhoc Committee hearing from Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta on vote of censure is just to Heckle and interject. nothing serious.

“KT Hammond is not fit to moderate such an important discourse. He’s deliberately watering the atmosphere with an unsolicited comic display. His demeanour was very rusty for such a job. Why do we reduce everything to a complete comedy in this country? No sense of urgency. Why???”
KT Hammond be some way I remember one time he approached me on site warning me not to destroy his wall cus he thinks he had a better understanding of engineering https://t.co/6KJiYdGuGi

“You listen closely and it’s very obvious that KT Hammond is being spoon-fed. He himself doesn’t know anything about the enquiries he is making. Christ!”

“I’ve never had the chance to listen to KT Hammond before until today’s ad-hoc committee sitting. I asked myself: was this the man who referred to the youth as empty-headed? So this man is called an honourable member? Interesting.”
