Cameroon Football Federation president Samuel Eto’o had words of praise for Asante Kotoko striker Franck Mbella Etouga following his exploits in the betPawa Premier league.
The Cameroonian was snapped up by Kotoko in 2021 with his countryman Mfegue Omgba. Both players have been immense for the Porcupine Warriors, particularly Mbella who netted 21 goals for the side last season.
His strikes helped the Kumasi-based side to wrestle the Ghana Premier League title from arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.
In an exclusive interview on WarmUp Plus on Saturday, Eto’o, a Qatar Legacy Ambassador, gave his verdict on Mbella.
“Mbella had a beautiful season. Some months ago, my manager told me about him and even the national technical director spoke to me about him. We are very proud of what he’s doing in Ghana,” Eto’o revealed.
Mbella has been a subject of transfer rumours in the last few months due to his finishing prowess. He is still with Kotoko and training ahead of the new season.
