Ghana coach Otto Addo has asserted that the Black Stars and the Super Eagles are on the same level ahead of the second meeting between the two teams in the World Cup play-off.
Talking about who are the favourites going into Tuesday evening’s encounter in Abuja, Addo pointed out that just one goal from his side would hurt Nigeria so badly.
Ghana and Nigeria drew 0-0 in the first leg of the World Cup in Kumasi.
“To be honest, I don’t think we are better than Nigeria and I don’t think they are better than us, it was an equal game, I think everybody saw and it will be very, very equal tomorrow,” he told the press on Monday.
“I can’t say that they are favourites, we are favourites, but what I can say is if we shoot one goal, it hurts more than if they should,” he added.
The game will take place at Moshood Abiola National Stadium and will kick off at 5 p.m. local time.
Ghana need a win or scoring draw to secure qualification to the World Cup finals in Qatar, while Nigeria must win.
