The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, says the judgement by the Cape Coast High Court on Wednesday, July 28, annuling results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections is a travesty of justice.
He said parties to the case knew that a ruling by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, July 27 directed that due processes are followed to transfer the case to the apex court of Ghana for hearing.
Speaking to journalists after presiding judge Justice Kwasi Boakye ruled against James Gyaakye Quayson for holding dual citizenship at the time of the elections, Mr Ofosu Ampofo said the NDC and its lawyers were taken by surprise by the action of the judge.
