All is set for the 3Sports and GFA forum on hooliganism in football, scheduled to take place at the Executive Theatre of TV3 on Tuesday, July 13 at 10:00am.
Ghana football has in the last few years suffered from various hooliganism acts, which have affected the various stakeholders and the image of the game.
Many attempts by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to curb the act has proved futile.
Hooliganism has had a negative influence on the sport, affecting even the community.
“Football and our communities are definitely affected negatively by these continuous incidents of hooliganism in many ways,” said GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo.
“More importantly, hooliganism also poses general security threat to the society’s lives and properties and as a responsible organization, we continue to take steps to ensure a more preventive and transformational approach to dealing with this canker.
“I wish to call on all stakeholders to come together as we find lasting solutions to this common enemy.”
Mr Addo together with SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah, Head of Operations for Accra Regional Police Command ACP Kwasi Ofori, CEO of Karela United Elloeny Amande and Jerome Otchere will be the speakers for the event.
