The professional boxer Ayitey Powers shared the motivation behind the funeral and song he composed in honour of the late Prophet TB Joshua.
Sharing the surreal experience that led to his encounter with the esteemed Prophet, Ayitey Powers told Giovani Caleb that everything that he is today is because of the man of God. He describes the encounter as a miracle. According to him, it is through Prophet TB Joshua that he became wealthy. He said he got so much money that he has never had since the beginning of his career.
Ayitey Powers said it all began with a dream. For almost seven years, he had not made money and was always begging for food. A woman appeared in his dream with a message. She said before he stop can begging, he must see TB Joshua at the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN). He said, “My brother if someone tells you that there’s nothing in this world. Tell the person I said he is lying.”
He said he didn’t have any money, not even his transportation to Nigerian. So he dismissed the dream. Again the strange woman appeared to him in a dream and repeated those instructions. This time he prayed and asked God to provide just a one-way fare to Nigeria if the apparition was from him.
The following day, he met his friend from London. He disclosed to his friend that he needed Ghc250 to go to church in Nigeria. After his friend gave him the money and bid him farewell, Ayitey said he did not see him in Ghana. On reaching Nigerian, he became stranded because he can miscalculate the distance from Lagos to SCOAN. Again he met two good Samaritans who fed him and paid for a hotel room. Ayitey Powers mentioned that these two strangers, whom he recalls one was called Jonathan, prayed for him before they went to church.
After his deliverance, they were happy and rejoiced that God had healed him. Fast forward, they paid for his transport back to Ghana and gave him more money for his upkeep. They said he could pay back the money when he starts making some of his own.
Upon reaching the house, he could not find the contact on his phone. But he wasn’t worried because he assumed they would call him back for their money. Two days after his deliverance and reaching Ghana, He had a call to go and fight in Australia. And up until date, he has not heard from the strange men who helped him.
Now, he believes he was in the company of angels.
