Court dismisses case against Adjei Mensah Korsah’s swearing in
A Wenchi High Court presided over by His Lordship Justice Fredrick Arnold W . K Nawurah has on Tuesday dismissed an interim injunction restraining Techiman South MP-elect, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah from being sworn into office as lawmaker.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) were seeking an injunction his swearing in because they believe that their candidate Christopher Beyere was the rightful winner.
The court also awarded a cost of GH¢ 15000.00 as security for cost against the lead petitioner “Christopher Beyere.
Christopher Beyere went to court seeking an interim injunction restraining Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah.
In the application he wanted the court to restrain the clerk of parliament for receiving Mr. Agyei Memsah Korsah into the records of parliament.
The court rejected his plea for approval.
