We won’t tolerate any rigging agenda – Sosu
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Madina Consttituency, Francis Xavier Sosu, has warned that his party will not countenance any plot to rig the elections in favour of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
After casting his vote at the Pantang Village Presby Polling Station, he indicated that the NDC are observing proceedings in every polling centre across the country to avert the subversion of the will of the people.
“Any attempt to rig this election will be met with the fiercest opposition. We will not allow them. This is our victory, we’re not going to allow them to steal our victory. That we can assure them. We are doing everything possible.
“Our agents are certainly on ground. Our monitors are solidly on ground and we can assure them that we are watching them boot for boot right from the polling station all the way to the collation centre. We are not going to allow them to introduce any foreign material.
“We are assuring them, these booklets that they have stolen, we are not going to allow them to introduce them at any level. So they better go and burn it because they will not find space in this election,” he said.
He further explained, “We would recall that one of the main reasons the NDC in Madina lost was because we had internal issues.
“That was one of the fundamental problem, which we do not have now. Also, the second major problem we had was that we had an opponent that promised heaven in Madina.
“In fact, they promised us $1 million every year and they failed,” he added.
