The 3FM morning show, Sunrise, in partnership with other key groups and institutions made a donation to the Mother and Child Unit of the 37 Military Hospital as part of the show’s ongoing Medical Negligence campaign.
Sunrise has for the past weeks highlighted the issue of medical negligence in Ghanaian hospitals to seeking to push for a national dialogue on the canker which is expected to eventually inform national policy.
The campaign has so far seen many victims share their experiences on the show and have are able to get expert advice on the way forward. Others have also been able to get the attention of authorities to act in instances where there appeared to be some alacrity to act on some alleged incidents of medical negligence.
3FM thus partnered with Special Lady Awareness and supported by Advocate for World Health, DZ Group Ghana, Kaya Management Services, Koodoo Services, Icann Brands Events and Innovations, Smileys Cake and Pastries, donated assorted medical items to the staff of the Mother and Child Unit of the 37 Military Hospital last Friday, July 24, immediately after the morning show.
Host of Sunrise, Alfred Ocansey joined the leaders of the other groups to do the presentation.
