Ghana’s coronavirus case count climbed to 6,683 from 6,617 between Saturday and Sunday, the Ghana Health Service announced on May 24.
Sixty-six new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the country including one in the Savannah region, which had hitherto not recorded a single case since the outbreak in Ghana on March 12.
So far 14 regions have confirmed at least one case of coronavirus. Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions that yet to record a case.
However, 20 more persons have recovered, thus moving the total number of recoveries to 1,998 as of Sunday.
Out of the 66 new cases, 18 came from Greater Accra region while 39 came from the Ashanti region. Central, Western, Volta and Northern regions have had their tallies increased by 2, with Savannah Region recording a case.
