Former President John Dramani Mahama will be presenting his letter of intent later on Thursday to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 general election, his 2016 Campaign Coordinator has disclosed.
Speaking on 3FM on Wednesday, Kofi Adams said the former president will be at the party’s headquarters in Accra to present his letter as required by all aspirants.
Mr Mahama on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on former leader Jerry John Rawlings at his office in Accra.
Discussions reportedly centered on reorganisation of the NDC.

Later talking about the gesture, Mr Adams said the immediate past president of Ghana will declare his interest to lead the NDC for the third time with his letter.
Already, party stalwarts like Sylvester Mensah, Professor Joshua Alabi, Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah and Alban Sumana Bagbin have all declared their interest to contest the primary slated for December 7.
Prior to that there will be regional as well as national executive elections.
