Coach James Kwesi Appiah has re-called Inter Milan’s midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah into the Black Stars.
The former Juventus midfielder, who last made an appearance for the Stars in 2014 at the Brazil World Cup, has been invited for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
He had given the clearest indication yet that he would return to the squad.

Coach Appiah consequently responded to the player’s notice by adding him to his 21-man squad for the September 8 qualifier in Kasarani.
The qualifier will be the second in Group F for the two sides.
