President of the Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG), William Asiedu, has advised models to turn a blind eye to the negative perception that surrounds their profession.
Speaking on 3FM’s Entertainment Today, William Asiedu urged the models not to allow discouraging comments about the profession stop them from pursuing their dreams.
Models have been accused of engaging in homosexuality as well as trading sex to be featured in programmes.
“Everything that you do, people will have their own perception and people will talk for or against what you do. If you are a model, before you get in there, you should know that there are some perception that will come with the job that you do” he noted.
He further added that models should rather remain focused and dedicated to their work if they want to excel.
“It is for you to remain morally upright, professionally focused and business minded and get on with your business because the perception will not stop.”
