President of the Association, Roland Affail Monney, said failure by the police to comply would leave them with no option than to petition the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is the chairman of the Police Council.
Mr. Iddrisu who works with the Multimedia Group was brutally assaulted in March this year by some Police personnel while covering demonstration by some National Democratic Congress supporters at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
The assault on the journalist has since been condemned by the GJA which demanded investigations into the matter.

The Inspector General of Police on April 16 a meeting assured the victim and public of prompt investigation into the case and the appropriate action taken against any officer found culpable.
Three months down the line, investigation is not yet complete. The police say they still require more time.
But the GJA at a news conference Friday said the delay in ensuring justice in the case is unacceptable.
The GJA has thus called on the IGP to expedite action to find the perpetrators of the act for justice to be served.
