The 37 military hospital has announced for the attention of the general public that the Medical and Emergency Unit (MEU) of the hospital will be closed beginning Monday, May 21.
According to the authorities of the hospital, the closure has become necessary to allow for the “fumigation of the entire unit to remedy any infestation of the MEU”. The facility is expected to resume normal working operations on Tuesday, May 29.
The hospital says it has put measures in place to ensure that patients already on admission in that particular unit are not adversely affected by the exercise.
They have however indicated that the hospital will not be able to receive any emergencies from Monday, May 21, when to fumigation exercise begins until Tuesday, May 29, when the exercise is expected to end.
The hospital has urged the public to take this information as a guide in assessing the services of the hospital and have apologized for any inconvenience that may be caused.
