A social media post by popular dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, calling on the youth to stop the abuse of Tramadol, has sparked debate among some followers.
While some believe his call is a good cause, others lashed out at him, claiming he led the youth to abuse the drug, calling him ‘king of Tramadol’.
On Tuesday, Shatta Wale posted on Twitter that he is angry by the abuse of the drug especially with fellow artistes who “are teaching their fans tramol life should stop”.
He claims the “ghetto youth community” does not belong to the government but him.

But the post engendered reactions from followers some of whom thought the call in itself is to shed light on the drug.

Others were not kind with their words on Shatta Wale.
