Workers of METKA at Aboadze in the Western Region are said to be living in fear after youth of the area besieged the firm’s premises last Friday.
Reports gathered by 3news.com say the youth attacked the company in demand for jobs they say are going to non-indigenes.
Speaking on anonymity, a worker told Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson that the youth numbered about 100.
He said they were wielding “cudgels” and “other weapons”.
They attacked the whites and other Ghanaian workers, our local station reported.
Some workers were injured in the process.
A machine operator and a victim of the attack who wants to remain anonymous tells Connect fm's Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson the youth numbering about 100 besieged the Company's premises with cudgels and other weapons and started attacking the whites and other Ghanaian workers.
