Students of the Academy of Christ the King School in the Cape Coast Municipality are demonstrating over encroachers who have taken over their school lands.
According to the students, the encroachers threatened to kill them, which among other activities of the encroachers make them feel unsafe in the school.
The students were carrying placards with some reading: ‘Free with no classroom’, ‘Nana do something we need your help’
A foundation that has been laid for the construction of a 12-unit classroom block is alleged to have also been destroyed by the encroachers.
The public school, with a population of about 1,500 students, has been dealing with the enchroachers for the past five years with no headway being made.
The students are therefore calling on government to intervene immediately to avert takeover of the school by the encroachers.
