Coach of the local Black Stars is Maxwell Konadu
The Black Star ‘B’ has placed Ghana in a better position to qualify for next year’s African Nations Championship by recording a 2-2 draw against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou.
The second leg of the game will be played in Ghana in a week with the local Black Stars, as they were formerly known, hoping to win against their neighbours.
The winner of the two legs will qualify for the tournament to be staged in Kenya.
Saddick Adams converted a penalty to give Ghana the lead in the first half.
But the Burkinabes equalised earlier in the second half. Gideon Waja of WAFA restored the lead for the Stars but a late goal from the Burkinabes ensured that the game ended in a draw.
Ghana failed to qualify for the last edition and will hope to return to the competition in a fourth outing when it kicks off in Kenya from January 11 to February 2, 2018.
