Former President John Dramani Mahama is in India for the 52nd Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
To be held in Ahmedadab from Monday, May 22, the Meetings will be themed ‘Transforming Agriculture for Wealth Creation in Africa’.
Ghana’s former leader will be addressing a session on Monday. He will speak on the topic: ‘Agriculture is cool: Engaging Africa’s Youth’.

He will “also participate in a number of other sessions on Financing Infrastructure, Addressing Africa’s nutrition challenges, and Africa- Asia Partnerships”.
A statement issued by his aide, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, on Sunday, May 21 said “Mr. Mahama is attending the Meetings at the invitation of the AfDB and the Indian Government”.
AfDB works to reduce poverty and improve the living conditions of Africans.
The Meetings are scheduled to end on Friday, May 26.
