Teenage swimmer Abeiku Gyekye Jackson has set new national records in 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke events at a school’s competition.
Abeiku Jackson set the records at the Lincoln Community School over the weekend.
The 16-year-old competed for Ghana at the 2016 Olympic Games as the first Ghanaian swimmer at the global event.
He clocked 24.30s in the 50m freestyle.
But on Saturday, Abeiku swam in 23.45s to set the national record in the freestyle event.
In the 50m breastroke swimming, the 2016 Olympian set the record in 31.38s.
