Davido shares how he met Chioma

Popular Nigerian musician, Davido has revealed how he first met his wife, Chioma Adeleke, saying their relationship started during their university days at Babcock University.

According to Davido, he first noticed Chioma while he was in a Prado on campus and immediately became interested.

“I remember the day I saw her. I was in a Prado, I looked behind and saw her walking, and it was Chioma. I told Lati I liked that girl and asked him to call her, but she snubbed me,” he said.

He added that their paths crossed again later in Lagos, where they eventually connected and began what would become a long-term relationship.

Their love story dates back to around 2013 when both were students at Babcock University, with Davido studying music and Chioma studying economics.

Over the years, their relationship remained in the public eye and became one of the most followed celebrity unions in Nigeria.

The couple formally tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos in June 2024 after being together for nearly a decade.

Reports also indicate they had earlier completed a court wedding before the public ceremony.

Their relationship has also been marked by major family milestones. The couple welcomed their first son, Ifeanyi, in 2019.

Following the tragic loss of the child in 2022, Davido and Chioma later welcomed twins in 2023.
