LIVE UPDATES: Brazil vs Mexico

Hello good afternoon and welcome to another day of action-packed football. This World Cup keeps on giving and we expect that to continue as we race towards finalizing the cast for the quarter-finals of this tournament.

This afternoon, fierce rivals Brazil and Mexico meet for the second consecutive World Cup with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

Brazil have grown into the tournament after two unconvincing opening games, while Mexico suffered a 3-0 defeat in their third group game after two impressive wins.

Mexico have reached the last-16 in their previous six World Cups but have not made the last eight since 1986.

Brazil are desperate to make amends for their humiliating exit on home soil four years ago.

We promise to deliver unrivaled minute by minute updates.
