The Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU) has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams, as part of efforts to strengthen alumni relations and promote sports development.
The delegation was led by Syvester Kwame Kafui Minta, Chairman of the organising committee for the upcoming BHOBO Games 2026.
During the visit, the union officially invited Minister Adams to the BHOBO Games, which are scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The event is expected to bring together former students, sports enthusiasts and other stakeholders for a day of sporting competitions, networking and community engagement.
BHOBU also used the occasion to highlight its commitment to supporting infrastructure development at Bishop Herman College while strengthening professional and social networks among former students.
As a gesture of appreciation for his contribution to sports development, the union presented Minister Adams with a specially branded BHOBU jersey.
Adams thanked the delegation and assured them of his support for the BHOBO Games and similar initiatives that promote sports, unity and national pride.
He also pledged to collaborate with BHOBU on future projects aimed at supporting sports development and the growth of Bishop Herman College.
The Minister stressed the role of sports in bringing people together, noting that such gatherings provide an opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, share memories and strengthen their bonds.
BHOBU expressed optimism that its collaboration with the Ministry would contribute to the development of sports and community initiatives.
