Coaches from clubs in Ghana’s UMB Division One League will take part in a one-day workshop on Thursday, September 17, before the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
The programme, organised through the Technical Directorate, is aimed at improving technical standards, promoting professionalism and ensuring coaches have a common understanding of key issues before the new season begins.
Technical Director Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah will lead the workshop together with members of the Technical Directorate.
The engagement will bring together coaches from Division One League clubs for discussions on their roles and responsibilities during the upcoming campaign.
The workshop forms part of the preparations to ensure clubs and their officials are adequately equipped for the demands of the new season.
It will also provide coaches with an opportunity to raise concerns and discuss issues directly with members of the Technical Directorate.
Discipline and professionalism will be among the key areas emphasised during the workshop, with coaches expected to adhere strictly to the regulations governing Ghana's football competitions.
The Technical Directorate will also use the session to communicate its guidance and expectations to coaches before they begin their respective campaigns.
The initiative comes as Division One League clubs enter the final phase of preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The new UMB Division One League campaign is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 18-20, 2026.
