Venue Media Officers (VMOs) for the Division One League will undergo training on Wednesday, September 16, as part of preparations for the 2026/27 UMB Division One League season.
The training is designed to prepare personnel responsible for media operations at Division One League venues for the demands of the upcoming campaign.
It will focus on matchday media operations and the practical tools required to provide coordinated and professional media services at league fixtures.
The workshop will be led by GFA Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum.
The session will equip Venue Media Officers with the knowledge and practical understanding required to effectively manage media activities at Division One League grounds.
VMOs play an important role in coordinating media operations on matchdays and ensuring that journalists and other media professionals covering matches can work effectively.
Venue Media Officers also serve as a key link between the Ghana Football Association and the various groups involved in covering Division One League matches.
Their responsibilities are therefore important to ensuring that media operations are properly organised across venues throughout the season.
With the opening weekend of the 2026/27 campaign approaching, the GFA, clubs, media professionals and other stakeholders are continuing their preparations to ensure the competition is delivered in a professional and well-organised manner.
The UMB Division One League season is scheduled to begin on the weekend of September 18-20, 2026.
