Former Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Goldstars have mutually parted ways with experienced midfielder Francis Twene after just one season with the club.
The two parties have reached an agreement to end their working relationship, bringing the 25-year-old’s spell with the Bibiani-based outfit to a close.
Twene is now a free agent and is expected to attract interest from clubs looking to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
The midfielder joined Goldstars last summer following the end of a productive five-year spell with Bechem United, where he established himself as an important figure in the midfield.
Twene played a key role during his time with Bechem United before making the move to Bibiani to join the Miners and continue his career at one of Ghana’s top-flight clubs.
However, after just one season with Goldstars, the midfielder has now brought his time at the club to an end by mutual agreement.
With the new campaign fast approaching, Twene is expected to assess his options and could secure a new club in the coming weeks as Ghana Premier League sides continue to strengthen their squads.
The former Bechem United midfielder is free to negotiate with interested clubs and will now focus on finding a new challenge as he enters the next chapter of his career.
