The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the schedule for the 2026-27 Division One League season, with the campaign set to begin over the weekend of September 18-21, 2026.
The season will run until May 24, 2027, featuring 30 match weekends as clubs compete for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
The league will retain its three-zone structure, with Zone One divided into Zone 1A and Zone 1B, each consisting of eight teams, while Zones Two and Three will each comprise 16 clubs.
Ten newly promoted clubs will feature in the new campaign. Kalibi SC join Zone 1A, while Steadfast FC, Techiman Eleven Wonders and Bactero FC have been placed in Zone 1B.
Zone Two welcomes Ebiemo FC, Fetteman FC and Pro Sports Academy, with Kotoku Royals, Nukunu Sporting Academy and 7th Wave FC completing the list of newcomers in Zone Three.
The 2026-27 season is expected to be fiercely competitive as established clubs and newly promoted sides battle for a place in the Ghana Premier League. The winners of Zones Two and Three, together with the winner of the Zone One playoff between the champions of Zones 1A and 1B, will earn promotion to the top flight.
