Jamie Leweling linked with Roma as Stuttgart winger attracts Serie A interest

Jamie Leweling, the German-Ghanaian winger currently at Stuttgart, has been linked with a move to Roma in Serie A.

The 25-year-old, who plays on the right wing and can use both feet, remains under contract with Stuttgart until 30 June 2029. Roma’s reported interest comes as Leweling’s market value stands at €40m, although there is no indication that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.

Leweling has made one appearance at the 2026 World Cup, playing eight per cent of the available minutes without scoring or assisting. He joined Stuttgart permanently from Union Berlin in July 2024 in a deal worth €6m after spending the previous season on loan at the Bundesliga club.

His first full season back at Stuttgart ended with the German Cup, the club’s most recent honour involving the winger. Leweling has made 142 Bundesliga appearances in his career, scoring 19 goals and providing 21 assists, while also featuring in European competition.

The potential move would see Leweling leave Stuttgart with four years remaining on his contract, meaning Roma would likely have to negotiate a substantial fee if their interest develops. The rumour is currently given a 6% probability, with Leweling still a Stuttgart player and his contractual situation unchanged.
