Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has stressed the importance of a productive preseason, insisting it lays the foundation for a successful campaign.
Speaking to Dreams FC Media, Dormon explained that the work done during preseason sets the tone for the rest of the season and determines how well a team is prepared to compete.
"The preseason sets the tone and the foundation. If you want to take the league seriously and approach the competition with the right attitude and mentality, then the technical team must also take preseason very seriously," he said.
The Dreams FC boss revealed that the club has already spent the past two weeks focusing on improving the players' physical conditioning, with the next phase of preparations set to concentrate on technical and tactical development.
According to Dormon, the coaching staff will gradually introduce game strategies as the team builds towards competitive action.
He believes a structured preseason programme will ensure the players are physically fit, tactically disciplined and mentally prepared for the demands of the upcoming Ghana Premier League and FA Cup campaigns.
