Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have strengthened their defence with the signing of centre-back Yaya Abdul-Raman on a three-year contract following the expiration of his deal with Karela United.
The 23-year-old joins the Mauve and Yellow after establishing himself as one of the Ghana Premier League's most consistent defenders during his time at Karela. Known for his composure on the ball, discipline and defensive solidity, Abdul-Raman is expected to play a key role as Medeama prepare to defend their league title and compete in the CAF Champions League.
Speaking after completing the move, the defender expressed his excitement about joining the Tarkwa-based club.
"I am extremely happy to become a Medeama player. This is a massive club with a winning mentality, and I am excited to begin this new chapter of my career here in Tarkwa."
Abdul-Raman also outlined his ambitions with the reigning champions.
"The ambitions of the club match my own, and I am determined to work hard and contribute to the team's success. Winning the Ghana Premier League with Medeama is one of my goals, and I look forward to giving everything for the badge and our supporters."
His arrival continues Medeama's squad strengthening under head coach Ibrahim Tanko as the club prepares for another demanding campaign on both the domestic and continental fronts.
