Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has taken part in his first training session at his new club, Ipswich Town.
This comes after the exciting attacker sealed a transfer to the English Premier League club on Tuesday, July 21.
The 22-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee after enjoying an impressive 2025/26 campaign, during which he scored nine goals in 44 appearances for Leicester. He also featured in all four of Ghana's matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further enhancing his reputation on the international stage.
The winger began his career with Steadfast FC before a loan spell at Dreams FC earned him a move to Portuguese giants Sporting CP in 2022. He later joined Leicester, helping the Foxes win promotion to the Premier League during the 2023/24 season before becoming a key player last term.
On the international stage, Fatawu has earned 32 caps for Ghana and was part of the Black Stars squads at both the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups.
He also played a starring role in Ghana's triumph at the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named Player of the Tournament.
He is now set to open a new chapter of his football career at Ipswich Town.
