The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has congratulated Black Stars assistant goalkeepers' coach Abdul Fatawu Dauda after he completed the UEFA Licence B coaching course with the Football Association of Wales.
In a statement, the GFA praised the former Ghana international for his dedication to personal development, describing the achievement as another important milestone in his coaching journey.
Dauda completed weeks of intensive coursework, practical sessions and assessments in Wales to earn the prestigious European coaching qualification, adding it to the CAF Licence B certificate he previously obtained in Ghana.
The Association noted that the new qualification further strengthens Dauda's coaching credentials as he continues to build a career following his retirement from professional football.
The former goalkeeper is currently part of the Black Stars' technical team at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, serving as assistant goalkeepers coach under Carlos Queiroz.
Away from the national team, Dauda heads the goalkeeping department at the Right to Dream Academy, where he is responsible for developing the next generation of goalkeepers using modern coaching methods and international standards.
During his playing career, Dauda represented clubs including Ho Voradep, Okwahu United, AshantiGold SC, Legon Cities, Orlando Pirates, Chippa United and Enyimba FC. He also made 25 appearances for the Black Stars and was part of Ghana's squad at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The GFA concluded by wishing Dauda continued success, commending his commitment to improving his coaching expertise and contributing to the development of Ghanaian football.
