Ghanaian midfielder Lord Afrifa joined Austria Lustenau because of the club's sporting vision and development plan, according to his representative.
The 20-year-old recently signed a two-year contract with the Austrian club after attracting interest from several teams, including Turkish side Kayserispor.
Speaking exclusively to GHANASoccernet, FIFA-licensed agent and Hagmayr Sport owner, Christian Hagmayr, explained that Afrifa's next move was carefully considered, with the player's long-term development taking priority over other factors.
"For us as an agency, it is crucial that Lord Afrifa takes the right next step in his career," Hagmayr said.
"The club and the head coach fully convinced us with their clear sporting vision, the trust they have shown in his abilities, and a well-defined development plan."
According to Hagmayr, Austria Lustenau presented a pathway that would allow the former Great Olympics midfielder to continue his progress in a stable environment while receiving regular opportunities to develop.
"We are confident that Lord will find the ideal environment here to continue his development, both as a player and as a person, and to take the next important step in his career," he added.
Afrifa arrives at Austria Lustenau after spending two seasons with Sturm Graz, where he featured regularly for the club's reserve side in Austria's second tier.
The midfielder made 40 league appearances during his time at Sturm Graz II and established himself as one of Ghana's promising young prospects in Europe.
His move to Austria Lustenau marks another important step in his career as he looks to continue his development and establish himself at senior level.
