The Black Queens delivered a commanding performance against Ampem Darkoa Ladies, scoring four unanswered goals in a friendly at Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
Ghana's senior national women's team, led by coach Kim Lars, showcased their WAFCON 2026 preparation with a flawless 4-0 victory over the Women's Premier League champions.
The Black Queens' goal scorers made their mark with clinical finishing: Evelyn Badu, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Stella Nyamekye, and Mavis Owusu each found the net. Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the proud Bono region team and five-time national champions, struggled to contain Black Queens' attacking prowess throughout the 90 minutes.
The encounter provided Coach Kim Lars’ side with an opportunity to test some of the key things they have worked on in this camp as the team intensifies its build-up towards the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Ghana's Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League champions, on the other hand, used the clash to prepare for the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B qualifiers in Burkina Faso this August.
