The Black Queens have officially begun preparations for the June FIFA Women's international window after holding their first training session at the University of Ghana Stadium Annex in Accra.
A total of 24 players participated in the opening workout under the guidance of head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his technical team as preparations gathered pace.
The session focused on light conditioning exercises, tactical work and team-building activities, allowing the players to ease back into camp following their arrival.
The training marked the first opportunity for the coaching staff to work with the squad as the Black Queens continue their build-up towards future international assignments.
Players appeared in high spirits throughout the session, with the technical team pleased by the intensity and commitment shown on the opening day.
Training proceeded according to plan as Björkegren and his assistants began implementing their programme for the international window.
The Swedish coach is expected to use the camp to further assess his squad while strengthening the team's tactical understanding and overall cohesion.
The Black Queens had initially been scheduled to participate in a three-nation tournament in Tanzania during the FIFA window, but later withdrew from the competition.
Instead, the team is continuing preparations in Accra, where the focus remains on improving fitness levels and building momentum ahead of upcoming competitions.
The squad is expected to continue training in the coming days as the technical team intensifies preparations and evaluates players ahead of future assignments.
