The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has entered into a new partnership with Metro Mass Transit Limited aimed at improving transportation for the country’s national football teams.
Under the agreement, Metro Mass Transit will supply dedicated 54-seater buses to transport the Black Stars, other national teams, and football stakeholders to various assignments across the country.
The initiative is designed to ensure safe, reliable, and well-coordinated travel for national teams.
"Under the agreement, Metro Mass Transit (MMT) will provide safe, insured, and roadworthy 54-seater buses dedicated to serving Ghana’s national football teams, Ghana Premier League clubs, and other leagues operating under the jurisdiction of the Football Association.
"The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen travel logistics for clubs and national teams while ensuring improved standards of safety, reliability, and convenience across football transportation," the GFA said in a communique after the agreement was signed.
As part of the arrangement, the transport company will also provide trained and licensed drivers to handle team travel, ensuring professional management of all transportation needs for national squads.
The partnership further extends support to Ghana’s broader football ecosystem, with national teams expected to benefit from improved mobility, reduced travel stress, and better organisation ahead of international and domestic commitments.
