Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has expressed optimism that Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus will recover in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite concerns over his hamstring injury.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Adams acknowledged that some have suggested Kudus could be ruled out of the tournament, but he remains hopeful for a positive outcome.
"There are some who say Kudus could be ruled out of the World Cup, but I know a miracle is on the way. He'll be fit and be available to don the Ghana jersey from our opening match to whichever level we get to," Adams said.
Kudus has not featured for Tottenham since January after suffering a hamstring injury and later suffered a setback in his recovery in early April. Fans remain hopeful, with Spurs coach Roberto De Zerbi unable to provide clarity on the midfielder's situation.
With Ghana set to face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L, the Black Stars will be hoping for a swift recovery for one of their key attacking players. Adams remains confident, banking on a timely return.
