French-Ghanaian defender Enock Kwarteng netted a crucial goal as Botev Plovdiv crushed Cherno More Varna 5-0 at Hristo Botev Stadium in a dominant First Professional League ECL Group Round 35 victory.
Simeon Petrov opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a header from Nikola Iliev's assist, giving Botev an early lead. The second half turned into a rout, with Franklin Chagas heading in the second goal in the 50th minute.
Kwarteng made it 3-0 in the 56th minute, assisted by Carlos Meotti, as Botev continued their relentless attack. Just one minute later, Nikola Iliev added the fourth goal, also set up by Meotti. Samuil Tsonov completed the scoring in the 77th minute with an assist from Ifenna Dorgu.
Botev dominated the match with 51% possession, 12 total shots to Cherno More's 4, and an impressive 9 shots on target compared to zero for the visitors.
The 29-year-old Kwarteng has been a standout performer this season, making 23 appearances in the 2025/26 Bulgarian First Professional League and scoring 4 goals, showcasing his delivery from defense.
