The Ghana Football Association has officially notified Ampem Darkoa Ladies over the commencement of the club licensing process for participation in the 2026-27 CAF Women’s Champions League.
In a statement issued by the GFA Club Licensing Department, the association informed the club and relevant stakeholders that the licensing process has officially opened in line with CAF Women’s Club Licensing Regulations 2022.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be required to meet CAF’s licensing criteria in the areas of sporting, infrastructure, personnel and administration, legal matters and finance before being cleared to participate in the competition.
The entire process will be conducted through the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP).
The GFA also reminded the club about CAF’s coaching qualification requirements, stating that head coaches must possess a minimum CAF “A” Licence or equivalent Pro Licence, while assistant coaches must hold at least a CAF “B” Licence or equivalent qualification.
According to the association, all coaching certificates and supporting documents must also be uploaded onto CAF’s Competition Management System during registration.
The GFA added that all inspections, documentation and compliance requirements must be completed before the final submission deadline on June 30, 2026.
Failure to satisfy the requirements could make the club ineligible for the CAF Women’s Champions League
