RB Leipzig are closely monitoring the situation of Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu ahead of the summer transfer window as the Bundesliga side considers attacking reinforcements.
The 21-year-old is reportedly among the profiles being assessed by Leipzig as the club prepares for a possible departure in their attacking department before next season.
Fatawu’s future has become increasingly uncertain following Leicester City’s relegation to England’s third division.
Despite being contracted to Leicester until 2029, the Ghana international is widely expected to seek a move away from the club in order to continue playing at the highest level.
The winger remains one of Ghana’s most highly rated young talents and continues to attract interest from several clubs across Europe after an impressive campaign.
Fatawu reportedly finished the season with nine goals and seven assists, further strengthening his reputation as one of the most exciting young attackers on the market.
The Ghanaian had previously been close to joining Bayer Leverkusen before the deal collapsed during negotiations several years ago.
However, his strong reputation within German football remains intact due to his pace, direct style and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations.
Leipzig could now emerge as serious contenders to finally bring the Ghana winger to the Bundesliga.
