Okwahu United, Na God FC, Accra Lions and Golden Warriors face a tense fight for survival as the Access Bank Division One League Zone III enters its penultimate round this weekend.
With Great Ambition FC already relegated, eight clubs remain locked in the battle to avoid the drop with only two matches left in the season.
Champions Port City FC will return to action against True Democracy at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in Tema New Town after sealing promotion to the Ghana Premier League. The Kukurantumi-based side secured the Zone’s only Premier League ticket following their victory over Attram De Visser two weeks ago.
Port City have won four of their last five matches and will look to maintain their strong form against True Democracy before ending the campaign against Accra Lions.
At the bottom of the table, Golden Warriors sit on 30 points while Accra Lions have 33 points. The remaining six teams involved in the relegation battle are all tied on 35 points and must avoid defeat to preserve their Division One status.
There is also competition for the top three positions involving Semper Fi, Attram De Visser and WAFA.
