Asante Kotoko interim head coach Hamza Obeng has emphasised the need for patience as he works to rebuild the struggling giants, insisting that steady progress on the training ground will eventually translate into results.
Speaking to AKSC Media ahead of Kotoko's Week 31 Ghana Premier League clash against Dreams FC, Obeng acknowledged the team's recent difficultiesâjust one win in their last five matchesâbut pointed to positive signs in training.
"We are looking at the phases of play. Communication in the game, one language we are to understand, which is the tactics to deploy," he explained.
"Also deciding, looking at how they are trying to take whatever they are doing gradually and the execution of the decisions they are making."
Obeng stressed that the squad's physical condition is improving alongside tactical understanding. "Football fitness training is moving smoothly. So we are trying to build everything steadily, build a collective team, and achieve results."
Kotoko face a confident Dreams FC side, who have three wins in their last five outings. For Obeng, the immediate task is clear: keep building, stay patient, and trust the process.
